Swine Flu

Central govt. and state govt. must be very happy that the focus on impending drought in many states has been shifted to contain Swine flu. The prices of essential commodities are sky rocketing. Still private hospitals are not taking any step to support govt. for curbing spread of swine flu. However in Ayurveda and Homeopathy there is a preventive dose of swine flu. The mother of all problem is poor sanittaion and swine flu is also not exception to it. Poor sanittaion will fuel its spread more widely.

India had been contemplating the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty for several years. However, the recent ghastly attack in Pahalgam and the surge of public sentiment demanding action against Pakistan compelled India to unilaterally suspend the 65-year-old treaty, which had been mediated by the World Bank. What follows is not analysis or opinion, but a deeply personal account of what I saw, heard, and felt.
