Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha by PM Modi

On Monday January 22, 2024, history was indelibly marked in the hearts of Lord Rama worshippers worldwide as the Ramlala idol found its permanent abode in Ayodhya. This momentous day will resonate through generations, fueled by the unwavering devotion of Lord Rama's followers. The nation witnessed a collective jubilation akin to a grand festival, with major offices closed to honor this significant occasion. Millions of temples in the country in its own way celebrating the Lord Rama  Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya. Today is the day for Indians to become Rammay.

Lord Rama transcends being merely a religious figure; he embodies the spirit, devotion, and way of life in India. He is the soul of India. His cultural significance transcends religious boundaries, with Hindus taking immense pride in venerating Maryada Purushottam Ram, whose ideals continue to inspire every Indian. Notably, many Muslims also hold reverence for Lord Ram.

The great Urdu poet, Iqbal described Lord Rama as “Imam -e-Hind”.

The "Pran Pratishtha" of the Ramlala idol at Ayodhya by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a testament to the resilience, determination, and patience displayed by millions of Ram bhakts since the construction of the Babri Masjid in 1528 at his birthplace. Across successive generations, these devotees patiently fought for the construction of the Ram temple at the very place of his birth. The triumph of this struggle came after Independence, as the Ram Mandir committee persevered through a protracted legal battle, securing the disputed land within the framework of the modern Indian constitution. The Supreme Court's decision marked a historic moment, providing a sense of closure and cultural reawakening for modern India.

It is a tribute to the perseverance of Hindu culture and its divine hope during 900 years of foreign rule when the religion of the rulers were different. It is a feat unparalleled in the modern history of the world. It is a victory of truth, resonating with Lord Rama's life; it is a victory of righteousness and, above all, the victory of faith and devotion of millions of Hindus.

While this victory unites the majority of Hindus as a cohesive voting bloc, it also ushers in future challenges. The shrinking distance between religion and government poses potential complications, pushing India into unchartered territories. In this diverse tapestry of global religions and modern democracy, a delicate balance is needed to navigate newfound assertiveness and displays of strength. The need of the hour is a call for respect, restraint, and humility, emphasizing the importance of maintaining clear boundaries between different institutions in the country.

Prime Minister Modi's speech on the occasion was magnanimous, terming the emergence of a new era for the country and dedicating  this  temple of national consciousness with immense energy to the nation.

This will also open this region with immense opportunity to its people to improve their livelihoods.

As India continues to be a home for various religions, it is crucial to approach this cultural reawakening with a forward-looking perspective with inclusiveness. The current socio-political landscape demands a thoughtful and respectful coexistence, ensuring that the principles of pluralism and diversity remain the bedrock of the nation.

Jai Shri Ram

Prabhu Ram is indeed an unifier for 1.4 billion population, in particular for the Sanatni Hindus.
You have kneaded well the emotions and crafted it as a wordsmith.
Heartiest Congratulations for a very well balanced write up. The restraint part rather the word of caution towards the Muscular Religiousity is noteworthy. In my personal opinion, Sanatni Hindus are a peaceful community barring a few stray incidents.
